Late last year we explained that “some basic essential medications have been in short supply” in the United States and, in some cases internationally, for over a year. This month, the US Pharmacopeia, a global independent scientific organization, released a survey in which seven out of ten U.S. doctors say their trust in the supply chain of medicines has been eroded since the pandemic began and nine out of ten believe the global medicines supply chain may not be reliable in a time of crisis.
