Order & Delivery Status: Have You Seen the Updates?
We know how important it is for you to receive your affordable prescription drugs in a timely fashion. That's why we've been sending newsletters twice a week to keep you apprised of the latest developments in having orders shipped and delivered. We have assembled a collection of those newsletters below and we encourage you to read them if you have not already done so because the information provided in them remains up to date.
It all depends on whether stock of the item ordered is on a growing list of shorted or difficult to source products, when limited cargo space bookings can be secured … delays in the movement of parcels at air transit hubs … customs clearance backlogs and interruptions in last mile post delivery service.
In short, getting orders delivered is taking longer than normal due to the challenges caused by the coronavirus crisis. Most orders are being delivered in four to seven weeks from when the order is placed. Some orders are delivered faster but others are taking longer and, in rarer cases, delivery time could exceed 12 weeks. It all depends on whether stock of the item ordered is on a growing list of shorted or difficult to source products, when limited cargo space bookings can be secured at a time when most of the world's aircraft have been grounded, delays in the movement of parcels at air transit hubs due to staffing reductions, customs clearance backlogs and interruptions in last mile post delivery service. These factors are discussed at length in the newsletters below:
- The Drugs You Absolutely Need to Have on Hand During the Coronavirus Crisis
- Are Orders Being Delivered?
- The Delivery of Your Medicines: United States Postal Service
- The Growing List of Out of Stock Products
- The Prescription Drug Supply Chain, Order Delivery Times, Customer Service and Other Updates
- Drug Shortages Occur Worldwide, Even in the USA
- Impact on the Pharmaceutical Supply and How this Affects You
- Fueling a Surge of Fake Drugs
Among other risks, the anticipated second wave of coronavirus infections could cause an unfortunate setback and further impact drug manufacturing, sourcing and delivery systems.
While we are hopeful that things will improve by this summer, it is impossible to predict with any certainty. Among other risks, the anticipated second wave of coronavirus infections could cause an unfortunate setback and further impact drug manufacturing, sourcing and delivery systems. We are thankful for our team's successes to date in being able to get customers their orders during this difficult time and we are incredibly appreciative of your utmost patience with any hardships caused by delayed delivery. But we are not about to take a pause despite glimmers of hope for improvement or any initial good news that may come. Instead, we will continue to work around the clock to keep getting you the affordable medicines we know you need to have. Given what we have been through over the past several weeks and the challenges that we see still lie ahead, it is incumbent upon us to repeat the following.
We encourage customers who may need medications in the coming months to place their orders now and those whose pending orders await shipping to keep their orders active and in the queue, which ensures they are locked in at the original price quoted at the time of placing the order. That's beneficial to you because we've absorbed most of the coronavirus-related increases in product acquisition costs that we've faced to date but may be unable to do so for much longer. Also, the limited pharmaceutical supply, available cargo space for transport and customs clearances will all be allocated to customers on a first-come-first-served basis and it may be quite some time before worldwide drug supply and delivery systems return to normal. Until such time, orders are no longer being billed at the time they are placed. We will hold your billing information but you won't be billed until your order is dispensed by our pharmacists and ready to be shipped. But, if for any reason you are unable to wait, you can cancel and you won't be billed for any item that has not been shipped.
