Drug Shortages and All the Other Updates

We have advised customers about a growing list of shortages of some pharmaceutical products which have been caused by the increased worldwide demand from consumers who are trying to ensure they have enough supplies on hand, in case there are further interruptions to drug manufacturing and distribution during this current wave of coronavirus infections or any anticipated second wave of infections that may come.

The American Medical Association has recently voiced its concerns about drug shortages in the age of the coronavirus crisis and a recent survey confirms Americans are concerned about drug shortages due to Covid-19, as well as their ability to afford medications.

We’ve been working around the clock to secure stock to fill orders, including those for the growing list of shorted or difficult to source products and we’re grateful to our team members who have been quite successful in this, though we acknowledge that there have been delays in sourcing a number of products.

We’ve also been working non-stop to secure the limited available cargo space bookings at a time when most of the world's aircraft have been grounded while keeping abreast of delays in the movement of parcels at air transit hubs due to staffing reductions, customs clearance backlogs and interruptions in last mile postal delivery service. We encourage customers who may need medications in the coming months to place their orders now and those whose pending orders await shipping to keep their orders active and in the queue, which ensures they are locked in at the original price quoted at the time of placing the order. That's beneficial to you because we've absorbed most of the coronavirus-related increases in product acquisition costs that we've faced to date but may be unable to do so for much longer. Also, the limited pharmaceutical supply, available cargo space for transport and customs clearances will all be allocated to customers on a first-come-first-served basis and it may be quite some time before worldwide drug supply and delivery systems return to normal. Until such time, orders are no longer being billed at the time they are placed. We will hold your billing information but you won't be billed until your order is dispensed by our pharmacists and ready to be shipped. But, if for any reason you are unable to wait, you can cancel and you won't be billed for any item that has not been shipped.
