The end of the year brings with it some important considerations when it comes to getting your safe and affordable prescription drugs in a timely fashion. Price increases, drug shortages and delivery times are top of mind for us as we approach the end of 2021.
… we expect Big Pharma could raise prices this coming January more than they previously have.
January of each new year is when drug makers typically first raise prices. Last year, Big Pharma rung in the new year with record-setting drug price increases, and historically, these price increases have significantly outpaced inflation. With inflation now running at a 30-year high, we expect Big Pharma could raise prices this coming January more than they previously have.
We have recently explained how The “The Everything Shortage” is causing some serious prescription drug shortages in the USA and internationally as 2021 winds down.
Finally, as the holiday season approaches each year, mail systems and customs often get backlogged, which can extend delivery times, and especially during the pandemic. Last year, a historic volume of mail and packages slowed down deliveries at USPS.
So Please Order As Soon As Possible Before the Year-End
We are doing what we can to keep a lid on price increases as best as we can in this inflationary environment but increased product acquisition and shipping costs are challenges we are contending with. Despite our robust sourcing capabilities and ample current inventory for most products, we remain vigilant and persistent in securing prescription drug supplies because things can and do change very quickly when manufacturing issues arise, transportation systems in the drug supply chain falter, or demand for products spikes in various parts of the world. So with the end of the year approaching, we ask our customers to please order well in advance. This gives us more time to procure what might be difficult to source inventory and get it shipped to you at the current prices before you run out of your supply at home and before any holiday season rush of parcels may backlog customs and USPS.
