Latest Update on Shipping Times and the Message About Drug Shortages from a Cancer Patient

For orders shipped to our customers between August 20^th and September 21^st, the average delivery time was two to four weeks. This has been consistent for the several weeks prior to that as well and this represents a significant improvement since earlier in the pandemic when aircraft were first grounded worldwide and delivery logistics systems were thrown into upheaval. In fact, the current delivery times are close to our delivery times under normal circumstances. While the last mile delivery portion of the journey continues to take longer as USPS is facing significant challenges, the international portion of the journey has adjusted to get the transit times down overall.

(Please note that these are the average delivery timelines we are observing but some parcels are arriving as quickly as a week after shipping while others can take more than five weeks.)

U.S. Cancer Patient Wants to Alert You About Drug Shortages

Our last newsletter contained an alert about drug shortages from a cancer patient in South Carolina, Emily Hooper, who could not obtain the drug she needed for her breast cancer treatment in the United States. After that experience, she contacted a local NBC News affiliate to help raise awareness about drug shortages.

Ms. Hooper tells NBC News 2 in South Carolina, "'I think more should be done to figure out why this is happening in the United States because it is there and you just don't hear about it'".
