If You Need Your Medication in the Coming Months, You Should Place Your Order Now

In advance of the holiday season every year, we remind customers to place their orders in advance of the customary rush of packages entering the country and consequent customs clearance and delivery delays that occur with that surge in volume. Prior to the pandemic, we always urged customers to order by October.

But due to the pandemic, this year we are urging customers to place their orders as quickly as possible because the United States Postal Service is already facing significantly increased package volumes, staffing shortages, budgetary constraints and a host of other challenges that have been widely reported in the media. Please don't assume that the current delivery times will continue into the coming months. We hope they will but are increasingly concerned they might not as the holiday season package volumes are almost sure to exacerbate delivery time delays.

Ordering in advance during the pandemic also helps customers get ahead of the pandemic-related drug shortages and potential pharmaceutical price increases we have reported on recently.

Though it is not expected to apply to international parcels, previous postal price increases since the pandemic began have been applied to our shipments and we do not know what further Covid-19 surcharges or other rate increases we will face in the coming weeks so we may only be able to maintain the lower shipping fee of today for a limited time.
