Here is Some Good News About Shipping Times
Shipping Times Have Dramatically Improved
For orders shipped to our customers between the third week of July and the third week of August 2020, the average delivery time was two to four weeks. This represents a significant improvement since the pandemic grounded aircraft worldwide and threw delivery logistics systems into upheaval. In fact, these delivery times are close to our delivery times under normal circumstances. While the last mile delivery portion of the journey continues to take longer as USPS is facing significant challenges, the international portion of the journey has adjusted to get the transit times down overall.
Please note that these are the average delivery timelines we are observing but some parcels are arriving as quickly as a week after shipping while others can take more than five weeks.
The Upcoming Holiday Season is Expected to Impact Delivery Times Again
Caution should be exercised in assuming delivery times will continue to improve as December approaches. We forecast that delivery times could be longer in the coming months.
Every year, we notify customers in advance about the delays with customs clearance and delivery that occur during the holiday season. But with the holiday season approaching during this time of pandemic, we remind customers well in advance to plan far ahead when ordering because the United States Postal Service is already facing significantly increased package volumes which will increase further during the holiday season and this is expected to negatively impact delivery times. In fact, USPS is expecting such a surge of volume that they are temporarily increasing their prices for domestic shipping starting next month.
Serious Concern that Drug Shortages Will Spike with the Rising Covid-19 Infection Rates
Health professionals, policy makers, drug industry representatives and others all over the world have serious concerns about further prescription drug shortages as Covid-19 infection rates spike in many regions, including those where much of the world's pharmaceuticals are manufactured and also from where we source medications from.
